A rough-coated Jack Russell Terrier has
to be groomed several times a year. Grooming means to grasp a few
adjoining hairs between the thumb and forefinger and to pull it in the
direction of growth. When the hair is ready for grooming, it is easy to
pull out. This procedure does not hurt the dog.
